Packers Athletic Club opens to members, offering premier fitness space & luxury amenities

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (WLUK) — Doors to the Packers Athletic Club open to the public Tuesday.

The team is billing the Titletown District fitness center as one-of-a-kind in the area, and it comes with a high-end membership fee.

It is on the district’s west end, adjacent to the football field, and helps fill a void in what has been built over the past eight years across from Lambeau Field.

“We like to talk about Titletown being a great place where you can live, work, eat and play,” said Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy. “Here, I think you actually get to work out and play.”

The club doesn’t just come with an elite view from the treadmill.

The club’s workout floor features 15,500 square feet of cardio and strength equipment. Members can also utilize two performance areas, including a turf space and a gym area for stretching and independent workouts.

Yoga, bootcamp and HIIT classes will also be offered in one of the PAC’s studio spaces. An additional studio space will be used for Pilates classes, an option available for members to purchase. Personal training sessions and small group training services will also be offered at an additional cost.

In addition to fitness offerings, the club’s premium amenities include a sauna, eucalyptus steam room, cold plunge and hot tub, with shower products and personal care essentials provided for use each day.

“The dumbbells weigh the same everywhere, but part of here is the customer experience,” said Ryan Oswald, the general manager of the Packers Athletic Club. “Everything that’s been in the club is really designed around the member experience and we really looked at it from their eyes and what is kind of going to be the differentiators.”

Oswald comes from the high-end Fitness Formula Clubs in Chicago. He says one aspect that sets this facility apart is its recovery suite equipped with massage chairs, a lymphatic roller and red-light therapy.

“Being able to incorporate that into your wellness routine, I think is a really big part of what we’re providing here,” said Oswald.

Access to the recovery suite is the main difference between the club’s $134 per month green membership and its $169 per month gold membership.

So far, interest is said to be strong.

“We saw great popularity within our fitness programs in Titletown, and we felt that the community wanted another space where they can take advantage of fitness kind of in a club setting,” said Jackie Krutz, director of Titletown Development.

The plan is to keep an eye on usage before deciding whether the club will cap its membership.

The PAC will also include a café with smoothies, craft coffees and grab-n-go snack items available to the public. Members will have exclusive access to the café’s social and flexible workspace.
