ASHWABUENON – With equipment and a facility that likely rivals what’s available to Green Bay Packers players, the Packers Athletic Club is ready to welcome members.
The new, members-only club opens at 5 a.m. May 13 at 1155 Lombardi Ave., adjacent to the U.S. Venture Center in the Packers’ Titletown development. The club includes 15,500 square feet of cardio and strength equipment, locker rooms, sauna, eucalyptus steam room, 50-degree cold plunge and hot tub. The club also has a recovery suite, a café and social and flexible workspace.
“It really exceeded my expectations,” said Ryan Oswald, the club’s general manager.
The club will offer curated fitness programs and be managed by Packers Athletic Club employees, hired for fitness expertise. They will not be Green Bay Packers employees.
Yoga, boot camp and high-intensity interval training classes will be offered. A dedicated room for Pilates programs is available, as well as personal training sessions and small group training services.
A highlight of the facility is the second-floor cardio section with wall-to-ceiling windows overlooking Titletown, with Lambeau Field in the background.
“It’s such a great view,” Oswald said. “I think this is the best I’ve ever seen.”
There’s also a cardio area on the first floor with 22 treadmills, six elliptical trainers and six stepmills.
The fitness center includes a red light therapy bed with 10,000 programable LED lights, RedFuzion cocoon pod and an infrared sauna, as well as a eucalyptus sauna and standard sauna.
Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, is thought to boost energy production in cells, which can help reduce inflammation, improve blood flow and promote tissue repair.
The 4th & Strong cafe is open to the public for carryout. Members have access to a lounge.
A Gold membership is $134 a month and a Green membership is $169. The Green membership adds exclusive use of the Recovery Suite, early access to products and events, and a monthly guest pass. Information about the club, including about memberships, can be found at packersathleticclub.com.
Also calling the new building home is architecture and engineering company EUA, which will relocate from De Pere. EUA, which has offices in Milwaukee, Madison, Atlanta and Denver, designed the building. The EUA office will include up to 50 employees on half of the second floor facing Lombardi Avenue.
