PickUp USA Fitness is a basketball-focused fitness club and they are coming to Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville.
Signage is up on the road frontage building in the Cross Keys Business Park for the new fitness club… most would know the building when it was home to Carnival of Collectibles. (PickUp USA is not taking the entire building).
I peeked through the front windows to see they are just starting the process to build out the interior… I don’t know timing of their opening date.
PickUp USA Fitness
This appears to be a newer fitness concept and I don’t know of any others in the South Jersey area, so likely readers aren’t familiar with the concept!
PickUp USA Fitness is a fast growing basketball focused fitness club. Like other niche fitness clubs it appears you need to sign-up as a paying member to participate in the pickup games and other fitness activities and lounge aspects.
The Sicklerville location will be a 12,000 square foot facility offering members two full-sized courts and one half basketball court.
Filling out the fitness experience PickUp USA fitness also provides a fitness area with premium workout and cardio equipment.
For more relaxing club moments as you wait for your next game, the Sicklerville location will also include a luxury lounge with a basketball practice shooting machine and more.
Refereed PickUp Games
The signature service at PickUp USA is the officiated pickup games!
They run daily 10-minute pickup basketball games with two referees, a scoreboard and team color jerseys.
Members sign-in to the patented Casey Que TM system which puts you on a team based on the time you sign in. You’ll be able to see on TVs around the gym where you are in the queue to gauge how much time you have before your next pickup game.
Pick up USA Fitness is also offering a Youth Development league for younger athletes, as well as private training packages to clients looking to take their basketball game to the next level!
As mentioned while it is a newer concept, they do show 15 locations in the USA up to this point, with the closest location to our area in Warminster PA. They are offering franchises in other locations.
Swish… Three-Pointer!
A basketball focused fitness center is something I never thought of… but honestly it seems like a great idea in the niche fitness category! Hasn’t everyone played basketball in their life, or tried to at least score a basket?
Clearly more people have played an organized game of basketball then tennis, right?
Yet, consider that there are niche fitness centers for pickleball, racquetball, tennis, golf, batting cages and others… so how did we get to 2025 without a basketball focused fitness center?
The idea seems like a “Swish… three-pointer” to me!
