Do you have a favourite fashion designer?
Lucy Folk, for her jewellery design and clothing, it feels nomadic and global. I also love Theophilio, Gimaguas, JW Anderson, Luuda, The Elder Statesman and Moncler.
What’s your fragrance of choice?
I wear Le Labo, but not Santal 33. It’s one nobody wears, Tonka 25. My signature scent is a mix of that and Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Sun Drops.
Can you remember a favourite outfit you wore as a child?
My mum was obsessed with buying nice clothes for us. She’d go to Bonton in Paris and buy all the pretty things – dresses, cardigans and the most expensive shoes. But from age six I was such a tomboy. I had older brothers and grew up snowboarding and at the skate park. That’s probably where my love of streetwear comes from, though always with a touch of femme.
And your worst fashion mistake?
I don’t think about fashion like that; it’s in the past.
What was your first fashion moment?
I’m yet to have it.
What’s high on your fashion wish list?
A purple Bottega Veneta knit dress – I’d wear it unbuttoned with a high-vis swim top. Also, cream Proenza Schouler Birkenstocks and a Lucy Folk Tempo signet ring.
What shoes do you wear most often?
I live next to the beach, so I don’t wear shoes often. When I do, I’ve been loving a pair of red Adidas sneakers with everything.
What do you sleep in?
A vintage tee and undies.
Is there something you would never wear?
I’m always happy to play around, but nothing ill-fitting.
Is there a current trend you like?
I’m loving all the mesh, crochet and knits by Wynn Hamlyn, Albus Lumen, Bottega …
What do you wear on a typical working day?
Track pants – I’ve always loved wearing track pants, its not a COVID thing – with a dressy shirt. Or a high-waisted trouser by Maggie Marilyn or Max Mara with a vintage tee or button-up shirt.
What’s your favourite casual Sunday look?
I’m obsessed with Lucy Folk’s floor-length towelling robe. I’ll wear it over a bathing suit or a silk dress for a late lunch at Sean’s [in North Bondi] and feel like I’m living my best robe life.
Anna is the creative director of Albus Lumen’s Société space.
