Fat Rock Studio is a multitrack, digital audio recorder (harddisk recording-studio) for Windows95/98/NT4/XP and later.
Fat Rock Studio comes with 16 stereo/mono channels. You may use up to 4 of them and may choose which soundcard is to used for each of the 4 tracks.
You may choose which soundformat you want to record with: WAV, MP3, WAVE-MP3, AC-3, MP-1, MP-2, MP-3, MP-4 or just “analog”.
The 16 mono tracks may be recorded to a WAV file or to a MP3, WAVE-MP3, WAVE-AC-3, AC3, MP-1, MP-2, MP-3, MP-4 or “analog” file.
The 16 stereo tracks may be recorded to a WAV file or to a MP3, WAVE-MP3, WAVE-AC-3, AC3, MP-1, MP-2, MP-3, MP-4, WV-MP3, MP-1, MP-2, MP-3, MP-4 or “analog” file.
You may copy your recordings to the clipboard in a number of ways:

Press “CTRL+H” and select the “Add Internet Streaming Station” radio.
A web-page opens in your browser, just above the list of available stations.
You can choose to record any channel that you are listening to.
When you are ready, a new “Recording” tab will open in the application.
Note: if the radio station you chose is already online, you will see a text “You already have a station”.

Fat Rock Studio comes with 16 channels, which can be spanned across up to 4 soundcards (not set up in queue mode). You can record multiple tracks simultaneously onto your hard disk. Here are some features of the product you can do with Fat Rock Studio:
Multiple Softwares
Fat Rock Studio uses its own unique control panel for multitrack recording. It can use any other software but it supports the very popular Windows Media Player.
Audio files, generated by WMP, can be imported into Fat Rock Studio with no problems. Once imported you can record multi-track music into your hard disk.
MIDI files generated by several applications can be imported into Fat Rock Studio.
Analog and Digital Recording
Fat Rock Studio can record from both analog and digital sources. An analog source can be:
-An audio interface (like a Line or Mic In). You can chose which one to use for which track.
-An external recorder (like a CD recorder).
Any other digital recording device may be connected as an input device, just connect it via the USB port.
Each track may have a different volume.
Stereo Inputs and Pads
You can set the input type of each track to be stereo or mono and you can choose the pad to be used. There are 16 pads, which can be reached by clicking on a pad indicator on the top of the panel. Each pad has a maximum volume level.
Multiple Tracks
Each track can have a different volume (similiar to WMP). Each track can use several formats. You can choose between Stereo/Mono, WordPerfect5, Bit 1 (mono) or Bit 2 (stereo). You can also choose between mono and stereo sweep, ramp etc. Fat Rock Studio auto chooses the best.
