An Edinburgh fitness model has divided fans after sharing his list of rules as a boyfriend.

Bodybuilder Jamie Goldie, 22, took part in the TikTok trend where users list their relationship dos and don’ts but he has received a mixed reaction to his rulebook.

Viewers were in two minds as some labelled Jamie ‘insecure’ and ‘controlling’, but others were more open-minded and said his rules were fair enough.

Jamie said: “Location has to be on, either Snapchat or Find My Phone.

“Either or I’m happy but you’ve got your location on, not got a choice.

“I don’t really care about your passwords, don’t really want your passwords to your social media stuff but I’d prefer to have the password for your phone.

“You never know, I might just have to have a look on your phone.

“Guy friends, definitely f***ing not, I’ve been the guy friend, I know what goes on.

“A shoulder to cry on is a d**k to sit on, remember that.”

He added: “Social media, another simple one. You post me I’ll post you, you hide me, I’ll hide you.

“Girls wear absolutely ridiculous things out but there’s nothing you can do about it.

“As long as I’m the one there at the end of the day.

“There’s some basic rules for me being a boyfriend.”

Some TikTok users thought Jamie’s relationship rules were a big red flag.

One girl wrote: “location and passwords big no no, my ex always was suspicious of me yet he’s the one who cheated. Trust is earnt not freely given.”

“For a girl who has more guy pals than girls.. it’s all about respect and boundaries no all girls want every guys attention. trust is always key xx,” another said.

Another user gave his rules a firm no: “Absolutely not…. NEXT… He’s all yours ladies!”

“Honestly tho, why do you even need to go through a partners phone ? Surly from the get go that’s no trust,” a fourth replied.

A fifth agreed: “Mate bolt. that’s massive [red flag emoji] right there, my husband does not care if I have guy friends, doesn’t snoop through my phone or demand my location.”

However, not everyone thought his rules were too outlandish.

One user commented: “I want him theses are standard rules.”

“Defo don’t see an issue as long as it’s both ways,” said another.

A third agreed: “Tbh I actually rate that!!!! I’d give your rules a 10/10 very fair.”

“Am I the only one that agrees with this 100% a think that’s basic respect a don’t want my guy having girl pals cos I was the girl best friend to him,” a fourth penned.
